On Tuesday, May 30 at St. James United Church in Waterdown, Councillor Partridge hosted an Emergency Services Town Hall meeting to discuss important safety and emergency services information and updates pertaining to Ward 15. Councillor Partridge began the meeting by asking for a moment of silence for Jasmin Hanif, a 10 year old girl who was tragically killed by a vehicle on Evans Road on May 16.
Numerous presenters, including EMS Chief Michael Sanderson, Fire Chief David Cunliffe and Police Chief Eric Girt, addressed topics such as community policing, traffic calming, importance of working fire alarms and the effects of new developments in the community. Residents were given the opportunity to ask questions in relation to emergency response timelines, how to educate children on safety, traffic enforcement, and how the community can work together to improve safety in Waterdown and the Flamborough area. Councillor Partridge is very thankful for all of the residents who attended and for the great discussion on important safety topics in Ward 15.
