Starting June 10, Mountain Brow Road between King Road and Flanders Drive will permanently close. The decision to permanently close Mountain Brow Road to King Road was part of the OMB decision made in 2005-2009 and the legal requirements requested by Conservation Halton.
The closed section of Mountain Brow Road will be replaced with a multi-use pathway and storm water drainage improvements to facilitate the Mountainview Heights development. Local access for existing Mountain Brow residents will be maintained throughout construction however, traffic accessing Mountain Brow Road from King Road will be detoured along the North Service Road, west of Waterdown Road. The alternative routes will be marked with road signs in the area.
Burke Street will be constructed to join up in the subdivision to connect to Waterdown Road. This will provide road connection between Mountain Brown and Dundas Street East. This also forms part of the North-South by-pass route.
