Overnight on April 2nd suspects damaged the door lock of a pickup truck while it was parked on Hamilton Street South. Entry was gained to the vehicle and the suspect attempted to start the vehicle. They were not successful and fled.
Overnight on April 3rd suspects smashed the rear window of a pickup truck parked on Humphrey Street. It is not believed that anything was taken from the vehicle.
On April 4th police received a report that items had been stolen from a vehicle possibly while parked on Progreston Road. The owner suspects that the lock was tampered but no damage was reported. Various tools and assorted clothing was taken.
During the morning hours of April 5th suspects forced open patio doors at a home on Braeheid Avenue and gained entry to the basement. The suspect fled after taking various gaming items. The scenes of crimes officer attended to look for evidence.
On April 6th at 3:18 am police observed a vehicle eastbound on Highway 5 with an expired temporary validation. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver admitted to being a suspended driver. This was confirmed and the driver was issued a summons.
In the early hours of April 8th a pickup truck was stolen from a driveway on Taylor Crescent. The vehicle was later located by Norfolk County OPP abandoned and with ignition damage.
On April 9th at 6:30 am police were called to Green Spring Road. A driver reported that while driving a deer jumped out in front of his vehicle and he was unable to stop in time and struck the deer. The deer perished and the vehicle sustained minimal damage.
