Sometime between December 30th and January 1st several out buildings and two vehicles were damaged at a business on Highway 5 West. Initial checks did not show any items missing. The investigation will be followed up by Station 30 Detectives.
During the early hours of January 1st suspects entered a vehicle parked in a driveway on Pentland Road. The vehicle was rummaged through and various items taken.
On January 2nd at 7:49 am police were called to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 52. A vehicle northbound on Highway 52 lost control, hit a shoulder marker , slid into a ditch and struck a tree deploying the air bags. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
On January 4th during the early hours suspects entered a vehicle parked in a driveway on Nancy Court. Various items were taken from the vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.
On January 4th at 2:55 pm a suspect drove off without paying for $30.00 worth of gas from a station on Highway 6. The black Acura was last seen northbound on Highway 6. Police will be reviewing surveillance video and following up.
On January 7th at 12:54 am Hamilton officers were dispatched to help OPP officers on Highway 6. OPP was investigation a fail to remain collision with suspects fleeing a possibly stolen vehicle. The Hamilton K9 officer attended along with Hamilton officers to assist. Cab companies were contacted and advised. Two female suspects were quickly located hiding behind some bushes nearby and were turned over to OPP officers. Police then received information that a cab had been called to the area for a pick up. Police attended and arrested two male suspects. The investigation will be continued by the OPP.
