On January 23rd at 4:30 am a city vehicle slid into the ditch on Safari Road. Police were called and attended some time later. The large city vehicle was unable to gain traction on the slippery roadway and slowly slid into the ditch. There was minimal damage and no report of any injuries.
Just after midnight on January 26th the suspect pried windows, smashed a window and eventually gained entry into a business on Brock Road. Cabinet drawers were pried open however the suspect left empty handed. The scenes of crimes officer attended to collect evidence. Police will be reviewing surveillance video and the investigation has been forwarded to the BEAR unit.
Overnight on January 25th two vehicles were entered. One was on Chesapeake Drive and one on Segwun Road. Both vehicles were rummaged through. There was no damage to either vehicle. One had various electronics taken and the other loose change.
Sometime during the early hours of January 26th a suspect took a vehicle from a driveway on Harnesworth Crescent. The vehicle was found on January 28th in an alley on Balsam Avenue. No damage could be observed by police.
On January 27th at 10:46 pm police located a stolen auto on Concession 4 West. It was discovered that the vehicle was listed as stolen with Grey County OPP. The vehicle was towed and OPP advised.
Sometime during the month of January unknown suspects entered a vacant building on Highway 6. Various items were taken from the building including truck rims and a generator. There are no suspects at this time.
