On February 21st at 1:51 am police were called to a business on Highway 5 by the Hamilton Fire department. An audible fire alarm had gone off and the Fire department attended the scene and entered the building. They searched the business and located no fire. The key holder was notified by police.
On February 21st at 11:48 am a male in a green Subaru pumped over $50.00 worth of gas into his vehicle while at a station on Highway 6. The driver sped away without paying. No licence plate was obtained but police will be reviewing surveillance video.
On February 21st at 11:10 pm police clocked a vehicle on Highway 52 doing 94 Km/h in a posted 70 km/h zone. The vehicle was stopped and as a result a quantity of drugs was seized by police. Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested and the vehicle towed.
On February 23rd at 4:10 pm police located an abandoned auto on Woodhill Road. There was damage to the ignition and the owner confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen. The vehicle was towed and Waterloo Regional Police were advised.
On February 25th at 4:19 pm police were called to a male causing mischief to a home and vehicle on Harnesworth Crescent. The male had fled the scene but returned after police had arrived. He was subsequently arrested and his vehicle towed. The scenes of crimes officer attended to take photos and collect evidence.
On February 26th at 10:35 pm police were conducting an investigation on Overdale Avenue when it was discovered that a male at that location had outstanding warrant with Toronto Police. The male was arrested and Toronto Police came to pick him up.
