On November 14th at 12:54 pm a citizen noticed a suspicious vehicle in his neighbour’s driveway on Concession 4 West. The suspect had parked a silver coloured Jeep at the rear of the home and kicked in a garage door and gained entry to the home. Several pieces of jewelry were taken. The neighbour pulled his vehicle across the driveway in an attempt to keep the suspect from fleeing but the Jeep drove over the law and escaped. A licence plate was not obtained and the suspect was last seen westbound on Concession 4 West. On November 17th some of the stolen property was found dumped on Powerline Road in Brantford. The investigation has been forwarded to the Detective Branch.
Sometime during the day on November 14th suspects entered a home on Woodhill Road via an unlocked basement door. The suspect rummaged through the home and some jewelry was taken. The scenes of crimes officer attended to collect evidence.
During the day on November 14th the rear door of a home on Concession 5 West was forced open and entry gained. Electronics and jewelry appears to be the main target of the theft. The scenes of crimes officer attended and the investigation has been forwarded to the Detective Branch.
On November 14th at 9:05 pm police were conduction speed enforcement on Highway 6 when they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was clocked doing 106 km in a posted 80 km zone. The vehicle was stopped and the driver had an odour of alcohol on his breath. The driver admitted to having only “two beers”. A roadside test was completed and as a result the driver’s licence was seized, the driver was issued a 3 day suspension and a ticket for speeding.
Sometime overnight into November 15th suspects entered a garage via an unlocked window on Old Brock Road. Hockey bags were emptied out and used to carry the stolen items which included tools and electronics. The scenes of crimes officer attended to process the scene.
Overnight into November 17th unknown suspects damaged a vehicle while it was parked overnight at a residence on Highway 8. The culprits sprayed orange spray paint on a 2010 Dodge pickup truck. The owner has no idea who might have done this and has only been living in the home for the past two years.
On November 17th at 10:43 pm police were called to a business on Highway 5 for two patrons that were trying to be removed by staff. The intoxicated patrons were fighting with each other both were attempting to regain assess to the establishment. The patrons would not take direction for police and were arrested. A struggle ensued and the Taser was required to be used on the ousted patrons in an attempt to gain compliance. Both were check by EMS, issued offence notices and trespassed from the business.
Overnight into November 18th suspects broke into a Ford pickup truck while it was parked on the street on Thornlodge Drive. The rear passenger window was smashed and a knapsack was taken from the vehicle. Measuring tools and personal items were taken.
