Overnight on October 3rd a 2007 GMC pickup was stolen from the lot of a business on Highway 5. The owner’s cell phone and various tools were in the vehicle at the time of the theft.
On October 4th between 5:10 am and 6:10 am a 2004 Chevrolet pickup was taken from a driveway on Elgin Street. There are no suspects at this time.
Overnight on October 4th two pickup trucks parked on McMonies Drive had their windows smashed. One truck had a bag with various hand tools taken. The second had a wallet, sunglasses and loose change taken.
On October 5th between 10:30 pm and midnight a suspect broke a window at a business on Brock Road and gained entry. An office was rummaged through with various items taken. The suspect also attempted to enter another building causing damage but was unsuccessful getting in. The scenes of crimes officer attended and collected evidence. Police will be reviewing surveillance video.
On October 8th between noon and 3:30 pm a vehicle parked on a lot on Old Highway 8 was stolen. The vehicle was a 2017 green Dodge.
On October 9th at 12:45 am an unlocked vehicle was entered and the garage door opener used to gain entry to the garage. A neighbour awoke to the sound of his barking dog. The dog scared off the would-be thieves and they fled the area in a vehicle leaving the dirt bike behind. The suspect’s vehicle was described as an early 2000’s model beige Chevrolet pickup. The vehicle was gone upon police arrival. The investigation was forwarded to the detective branch for review.
