Overnight on October 8th suspects broke the window of a vehicle parked in a driveway on Riley Street. The vehicle was ransacked however nothing was taken.
Overnight on October 9th suspects smashed the window of a car on Station Street and rummaged through the car. On the same night suspects also damaged a door lock on a vehicle on Rockhaven Lane.
During the early hours of October 10th a window at a business on Station Street was smashed and gained entry. When the audible alarm sounded the suspect fled. The owners quickly attended but the suspect was gone. The scenes of crimes officer attended to collect any evidence.
On October 10th between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm suspect removed both licence plates off a vehicle on Rockhaven Lane.
During the early hours of October 14th the windows of a business on Brock Road was smashed and gained entry. Various items were taken. Police will be reviewing surveillance video. The investigation has been forwarded to the BEAR unit.
On October 14th at 7:40 am police and fire were dispatched to a restaurant on Hamilton Street. In an attempt to restart a gas grill there was a flare up. The fire department attended and the building evacuated. The gas was shut off and the ministry of labour called in. A representative from the fire marshal’s office briefly attended. One employee was treated for minor burns. The keys were returned to the owner at 1:45 pm.
On October 15th police received a report of a stolen yellow 2012 CANAM Outlander ATV. It had been stolen from a garage on Sydenham Road.
On October 15th at 10:40 am police and the fire department were called to a car fire at a residence on Centre Road. The fire department attended and extinguished the vacant pickup truck. The cause of the fire was likely electrical.
