Also of concern to rural residents in north of Carlisle and those who border on the Flamborough Milton boundary (Millborough Side Road)- a non-profit community group in Milton, Association of Citizens Together In Our Nassagaweya (ACTION), is working with all potentially affected residents to fight against the approval of a large under water proposed quarry by James Dick Construction Ltd. at Twiss Road and Reid Side Road in Campbellville. The company is proposing to use an un-tested and un-proven underwater extraction process for source water mitigation, which is of grave concern. The opening and operation of this quarry may negatively affect wells and water sources, environment, housing prices, traffic and much more.
ACTION is hosting an important community meeting on Wednesday May 8, 7:00 pm at the Mohawk Inn, 9230 Guelph Line in Campellville, and invites all residents and community associations to learn more.
