The City of Hamilton is seeking Artists and Artist-Led Teams to submit proposals for a permanent Public Art work(s) to be sited in Waterdown Memorial Park, on the corner of Parkside Drive and Hamilton Street. Artists will be asked to propose art works that reflect the Project Goal, “That the proposed Public Art work(s) enhance and reflect the atmosphere of the park as Waterdown’s ‘Public Backyard’ through an artwork that recognizes the park as a community gathering place and responds to its’ historical and physical context in a way that is playful and interactive.”
An information meeting will be held on Thursday August 15 at 7:00 pm, Waterdown Memorial Park. Artists are invited to view a presentation on the adjudication process and submission requirements and ask questions. This is not a mandatory meeting. For more information, please click here.
