Residents are strongly encouraged to consider taking alternate routes instead of Waterdown Road this summer, such as Brant Street, Snake Road or even Highway #6. With upcoming repair work to Waterdown Road and bypass construction on Mountain Brow and Burke Street, traffic will be very difficult over the coming months.
My office has been notified that starting July 22 to mid August, the City of Burlington will be completing road repairs on Waterdown Road from Mountain Brow Road south to the North Service Road. This maintenance work is being done to minimize pothole repairs needed during the winter season until Waterdown Road is reconstructed.
There will be lane closures in both directions periodically over the construction period. Staff will be using traffic control and allowing both directions through but there could be significant delays during this time.
If you have any questions, please contact the City of Burlington’s Transportation Services Department at 905 335 7671
