For the past few years Councillor Partridge has been your representative on the Halton-Hamilton Source Water Protection Committee (SPC). Currently, there is an opening for a member to represent the Industrial-Commercial sector on the SPC Committee. Eligible candidates who are collaborative, solutions oriented, and have an interest in the stewardship and protection of local watersheds and drinking water matters are invited to submit applications by August 10 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The SPC was established in accordance with the Clean Water Act, 2006 and has developed a locally driven, science-based source protection plan that aims to reduce the risk of contamination and overuse of the sources of our drinking water.
The role of the SPC is to guide the review and updating of the source protection planning for the Halton-Hamilton watershed areas. The Committee is comprised of nine members and the Chair, including Councillor Partridge. The members act as liaisons for their sectors, and attend committee and public meetings.
