When we take care of ourselves, we are taking care of each other. The next phase of COVID-19 may be right around the corner. I can’t stress enough how important it is now and to continue to be diligent. Follow public health advice to physical distance two meters, wear face coverings/masks and wash your hands several times a day. It is up to all of us to help prevent the further spread of COVID-19. DO NOT participate in large public gatherings, parties – keep a social distance when hiking, shopping. Stay home if you feel ill. Wash your hands frequently, cleaning phones, desktops, keyboards etc.
Let’s not have a second shut down that will devastate our communities and businesses.
If you are experiencing symptoms and wondering if you should visit a COVID-19 Assessment Centre, you will need to contact your doctor, Telehealth Ontario (1-866-797-0000) or Hamilton Public Health (905-974-9848) to get the required referral before leaving the house. You can also complete a self assessment online at Ontario.ca/coronavirus.
Please keep safe and protect yourselves. Taking care of each other’s physical and mental health is so important and we must continue to take steps to support one another while staying safe.
